Request for Qualifications: Mobile Health Technical Assistance: A Coaching Program

Mobile Healthcare Association seeks six experienced mobile healthcare providers to serve as peer coaches for a technical assistance program for members. This grant funded program will be piloted for six months between January and June 2024. Coaches will be paid $4,500 for completing all activities in the scope of work (see below).

Program Overview

To respond to the growing need for technical support from our members, Mobile Healthcare Association is excited to pilot a new program: Mobile Health Technical Assistance: A Coaching Program. The program combines group coaching, provided by experienced mobile healthcare providers, and peer accountability to help newer mobile health programs achieve their goals. Six experienced coaches will be engaged to support 36 member programs that have launched in 2018 or later.

The program is based on input from our members who have requested events that allow open discussion between programs and networking opportunities (2023 Mobile Healthcare Program Member Survey). Coaches will facilitate discussion and provide expertise. Because peer engagement has been shown to enhance the overall learning experience, the program will also include peer accountability. This will foster a collaborative environment where members can draw from each other’s experiences, insights, and diverse perspectives.

The program offers four learning tracks that were identified as priority needs by members:

  • Hiring and Retention
  • Funding and Sustainability
  • Community Outreach and Engagement
  • Program Operations and Logistics

A call for applications to participate in the program will be released in December. Participation in the pilot program will be capped at 36 Mobile Healthcare Association member programs that have participated in the Mobile Health Clinics Intensive Training Course (ITC) and have launched a mobile healthcare program in 2018 or later. Priority will be given to those programs that attended the 2023 fall ITC in Pittsburgh. The program will be piloted for six months between January and June 2024.

We estimate the total time commitment between December 15 and June 30, 2024, to be 32-38 hours. This may vary depending on the coach’s experience level.

Note: If fewer than six coaches are identified, Mobile Healthcare Association reserves the right to engage fewer coaches at an increased program rate per coach. Coaches must submit a signed W-9.
