About Mobile Healthcare
Mobile clinics bring much-need healthcare services to individuals who face significant barriers to access. Research shows that such clinics produce markedly improved patient outcomes as well as significant cost savings, in part by lessening the reliance of at-risk populations on hospital emergency departments for primary care.
In the United States, an estimated 5,000 mobile health clinics operate in urban and rural areas, offering a range of care—from dental and behavioral health to mammography and pediatrics—through more than 6.5 million visits.
