Mobile Health Technical Assistance: A Coaching Program

clinic

In response to the growing need for technical support from our members, Mobile Healthcare Association launched a pilot program Mobile Health Technical Assistance: A Coaching Program. This grant-funded program brought together mobile healthcare coaches and new mobile programs for a six-month learning cohort between January and June 2024.

Thirty-six member programs were selected to participate (see full list below). At no cost to participants, they were placed into tracks and cohorts based on their preferences, challenges, organizational type, stage of development, and job role. The program was organized around Community Outreach and Engagement and Program Operations and Logistics.

What Participants Had to Say:

The networking was amazing. Having the ability to discuss concerns and arrive at solutions was invaluable. Often in mobile you feel isolated and this group was very inclusive and understood the challenges faced. ~Vickie Cranford-Lonquich, Fort Defiance Indian Hospital

Since beginning this program, we have started using our new mobile dental unit and have developed marketing tools to recruit volunteer providers. We have also compiled data and successfully received additional funding due to suggestions from our cohort. ~Rebekah Parr, Shelby Baptist Association

What Coaches Had to Say:

This was an amazing program. I hope we get to continue it again in the future. I feel like we helped launch these programs like two years ahead of where they’d be if they were doing it all by themselves. Now, they had the support of coaches and other programs. I felt like this was the best program ever and a lot of fun to see these six programs have their a-ha moments. It puts them leaps and bounds ahead of where they’d be without this program. Hats off to the staff and funders for developing this awesome program. ~ Laura Bollan, Sarah Bush Lincoln Health System

I enjoyed learning from the different organizations that I coached.  It was rewarding to hear of their accomplishments and watch them interact and develop lasting relationships. ~ Lisa Rose, Texas Health Resources
