Moving Beyond the Pandemic: Lessons in Healthcare Disparities and Vaccination Campaigns from a Student-Run Mobile Clinic in Iowa

University of Iowa Mobile Clinic (UIMC) is a student-run, staff-supervised initiative that provides free basic healthcare to underserved populations at thirteen community sites. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, UIMC has modified operations to meet community needs, such as enacting a COVID-19 protocol and telemedicine clinics. Most recently, UIMC partnered with the local public health department to host COVID-19 vaccine clinics that circumvent barriers to vaccinations in our patient population.
