Mobile Healthcare Association announced today the launch of their new website, a key milestone in its capacity building initiative made possible with grant funding from The Leon Lowenstein Foundation.

The new website will serve as a valuable tool to members in the mobile healthcare field that are seeking to connect with other programs, access educational materials related to the mobile healthcare field, fundraising opportunities, up-to-date field information, and guidance on vehicle manufacturers, products and services. A new event calendar will highlight opportunities for mobile healthcare professionals to connect via regional coalition and special interest group meetings, and help members stay up to date with continuing education and training events.

Mobile Healthcare Association is the leading membership-based organization for mobile healthcare professionals in the U.S. and Canada. The Association serves members of the mobile healthcare field with practical solutions and support, networking, and funding opportunities, as well as thought leadership within the field. The intention is to equip the mobile healthcare field with the knowledge and skills to reduce health disparities and increase equity.

Elizabeth Wallace, Mobile Healthcare Association Executive Director on the website launch, “We are so proud to launch this resource and expand our services to help mobile programs with funding from The Leon Lowenstein Foundation. It’s an honor to provide support to healthcare professionals that are working to expand access to care to people in underserved communities.”

This new website is part of the commitment from Mobile Healthcare Association to provide members with a steadily increasing library of manuals, best practices, webinars, field data, and expert forecasts. Mobile clinics bring much-needed healthcare services to individuals who face significant barriers to access. Research shows that such mobile clinics produce markedly improved patient outcomes as well as significant cost savings, in part by lessening the reliance of at-risk populations on hospital emergency departments for primary care.

The Leon Lowenstein Foundation, based in New York City, supports education, health, and environmental projects nationwide, with a particular interest in innovative and scale-able projects.
