The University of Arizona Mobile Health Program proposes a workshop on developing and applying a framework for partner readiness and strategic partnership building. Every month the UA Mobile Health Program receives several requests to provide clinical services at community partner sites. In order to best evaluate the allocation of limited resources to address a high level of community need, the program has developed a working framework to assess the readiness of a community partner to host a clinic or other type of health programming (i.e. health screenings, vaccine clinics, nutrition education workshops). In the past year, the application of this framework has resulted in two successful recurring walk-in clinics (Caridad Community Kitchen and Southside Worker’s Center) as well as the implementation of a new health screening project in collaboration with social workers and the City of Tucson. As part of the workshop, we will also present case studies of lessons learned that have been incorporated into our working framework on how to evaluate opportunities for partnership. The workshop will offer structured opportunities for participants to share their successful and less successful experiences with community partners and modify our framework to fit their program needs.
