The Comer Children’s Hospital Mobile Unit Program provides school site-based primary care at elementary and high schools on the South Side of Chicago. Closure of schools to reduce spread of COVID-19 resulted in disruption of both our medical and mental health care models. The Mobile Unit Program was able to continue to provide community care by optimizing current and new collaborations, developing protocols for in-person patient care, and broadening our usual patient population.
